This page provides details of our four, potted, Camp David roses. Like most things we are still just learning, so we will use this page to document what we discover.
Planting
Our roses came from Magic Garden Roses in Seville. We bought them bare-rooted and planted them in large ceramic pots so that we can move them around the garden.
Pruning
We didn't know anything about pruning roses, of course, but by chance we had a radio contact with Rob Heyward - VK7DR, who turned out to be a real rose aficionado, complete with years of experience and knowledge passed down to him from his father.
This year, all our flowers shot up as high as the roof! Next year we wanted to keep flowers lower down, so we asked Rob if this was possible by pruning. Rob explained to us how to prune our roses and he wanted to inspect the results. So here they are Rob. What do you think?:
